Sunshine Coast Contemporary

project description

This spectacular home on the Sunshine Coast required interiors that reflected its majestic natural surroundings. We obliged with a floating white lacquer centrepiece built in intertwined with a stained teak veneer arbutus tree. This piece anchors the home in nature, and that theme is continued into the white lacquer kitchen with its tree-like custom Bocci light fixture.

Unique built ins abound, with a hidden coffee station and master bedroom linen closet tucked between concrete walls being the highlights. The office utilizes Blum Aventos automated lift hardware for easy access to its stacked upper cabinetry, while the guest bedrooms contain “floating” millwork bunk beds sandwiched onto folded steel support structures. Square edge millwork pulls are used on the island, vanities, and outdoor kitchen for a linear design detail. We thoroughly enjoyed crafting bespoke millwork for this incredible design endeavour.
