and maintain your custom cabinetry

It is important to keep the cabinet surfaces dry. Areas of quick temperature changes and excessive moisture, such as bathtubs, showers and oven ranges, can be harmful to the cabinet finish and overall cabinet stability.

Most of the suggestions are simple, common sense practices that you probably already know and follow. We just want to make sure you avoid potential damage by following our simple guidelines.

To remove dust, use a soft, lint-free cotton or microfibre cloth to wipe down all exterior and interior surfaces. A classic lamb’s wool (or lamb’s wool imitation) fluffy dusting brush is also a great tool to have on hand for easily dusting ceiling trim and shaker stiles throughout your kitchen.

  • Clean as needed with a soft, lint-free cotton cloth. Use a mild detergent or soap, and warm water.
  • Dry surfaces immediately with a soft, lint-free cotton or microfibre cloth.
  • Avoid using a dish cloth or sponge to clean cabinet surfaces. Harsh detergent residues may harm finishes.
  • Avoid ammonia-based cleaner and soaps with dye.

To maintain the beauty of painted, stained, or varnished cabinets, care for them as you would any piece of fine furniture. The state-of-the-art, cured finish does not require wax. Dust regularly with a slightly damp, soft, lint-free cloth; wipe dry with a dry, soft cloth in the direction of the wood grain. Spills should be immediately wiped up with a damp cloth, then dried.

Every month or so for real wood veneers clean the surface with a soft cloth dampened with a quality cleaner formulated for wood furniture. Wipe the surface in the direction of the wood grain to remove dirt and fingerprints. Wipe dry with a clean, dry microfibre or lint free cloth.

Wipe up spills and water spots immediately with a lint-free cotton cloth so moisture is not absorbed into the cabinetry. Check the areas around the sink and dishwasher to make sure water and detergents do not dry on the cabinet surface.
